AQUATICS CENTER POOL RULES
| Competition Pool Rules & Regulations |
For the Health, Safety and Enjoyment of all swimmers, please abide by the following :
- Swimming allowed only when Lifeguard(s) present.
- Proper swimming attire is required.
- Only appropriate sport drinks or water are allowed on deck; No gum, tobacco, food or other drinks allowed on deck or in the water.
- SCUBA diving equipment is allowed during scheduled classes.
- Do not swim under the bulkheads.
- No glass allowed in facility.
- Do not hang on or swim across lane lines.
- Starting blocks are for competitive team and instructional use only.
- No running allowed on deck or in facility.
- Kickboards and pull buoys are available for workouts; they are not to be used as life preservers.
- Adults with non-swimming children must be within an arm's reach at all times; this also applies in the water.
- Staff will provide assistance with the chair lift upon request.
- Do not swim if you have an infectious or communicable disease.
- Do not leave valuables unattended. Utilize day lockers or rent a locker. We do not take responsibility for loss or theft
- The towers are CLOSED for recreational use.
- Divers must be able to swim unassisted in deep water in order to use the boards.
- One person at a time is permitted on the 1 and 3 meter diving boards; wait for the previous diver to reach the side of the pool/ladder before diving.
- Divers using boards are not allowed to:
- Sit on board
- Hang or run off board
- Do a handstand or cartwheel
- Wear a personal flotation device
- The lanes in the diving well are for swimming/jogging only unless specifically designated for “free play.

For the Health, Safety and Enjoyment of all swimmers, please abide by the following :
- NO DIVING ALLOWED – Shallow water.
- GT Dive team members have priority use of the spa during scheduled practices.
- You must be at least 16 years old to use the spa.
- Proper swimming attire is required.
- A thorough shower is required before use and should also be taken after use.
- Use is prohibited if you:
- Have an infectious or communicable disease
- Are under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Individuals who are pregnant, elderly or suffering from heart disease, diabetes, epilepsy, high or low blood pressure should not use the spa without prior medical consultation and permission from their doctor.
- Limit your use to 15 minutes at any one session. Long exposure may result in nausea, dizziness, fainting or heat related illness.

- Only appropriate sport drinks or water are allowed on deck; all other food and drink is restricted to the patio outside.
- No glass allowed in facility or on the patio.
- Do not hang on or swim across lane lines.
- Starting blocks are for competitive and instructional use only.
- No running allowed on deck or in facility.
- Kickboards and pull buoys are available for workouts; they are not to be used as life preservers.
- Adults with non-swimming children must be within an arm's reach at all times; this also applies in the water.
- Use of the current channel should follow the direction of the water flow unless a specific training class is using the channel.
- The stairs are for entering and exiting the pool, please do not block the stairways.
- Jumping from the pool deck in to the pool area next to the spa is not allowed due to the underwater bench.
- Staff will provide assistance with the chair lift upon request.
- After sunbathing, please take a shower before entering the pool or spa. A shower is located on the patio for your convenience.
- Do not swim if you have an infectious or communicable disease.
- Do not leave valuables unattended. Utilize day lockers or rent a locker. We do not take responsibility for loss or theft.
| Water Slide Rules and Regulations |
For the Health, Safety and Enjoyment of all swimmers, please abide by the following :
- Riders allowed only when Lifeguard(s) present.
- All riders must be at least 48” tall or have prior approval from the lifeguard on duty to ride the water slide.
- The maximum weight limit is 300 pounds per person.
- No jewelry can be worn while riding the slide. No foreign objects allowed in pockets, no rivets, etc. in swimsuit that could cause damage to the slide.
- Riders must enter the slide in a sitting position and wait for instructions from the guard stationed at the top of the slide next to the starter tub.
- All riders must ride feet first while lying on their back. Absolutely NO riding on stomach or headfirst is permitted.
- Riders should lie on their back with arms crossed across their chest or hands clasped behind their head with legs crossed at the ankles.
- Only one (1) rider at a time. Absolutely NO trains or chains of riders are permitted.
- No tubes, mats or lifejackets are permitted on the water slide.
- Riders must wait on the stairs and/or deck in a single file line, 1 per stair, holding on to the handrail on the wide side of step.
- Riders must be in good health. Pregnant women or individuals with heart or back conditions should not use the slide.
- Do not use this slide while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Follow the instructions of the flume attendant.
- No running, standing, kneeling, rotating, tumbling or stopping in the flume. Arms and hands must remain inside the flume.
- No diving from the flume.
- Leave the flume pool area promptly after exiting the slide.
- WARNING: Water depth is 3 feet 6 inches at bottom of slide.
- NO DIVING ALLOWED – Shallow water.
- You must be at least 16 years old to use the spa.
