Minimum Qualifications:
  • First-Aid/AED/CPR certification (or ability to obtain certification within 60 days of employment. The CRC offers certification classes to new employees)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer knowledge and skills
  • Collaborate and work well with all CRC department staff
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Work well without direct supervision
  • Able to stay up to date with CRC policies and events
Preferred Qualifications:

Climbing Wall Attendant

Responsible for the overall operation of the climbing wall area including checking climbers in, belaying climbers, teaching climbing classes, monitoring climbers for safety, as well as the maintenance of the wall area including keep the gear and equipment clean and organized.

Facility Assistant

The facility assistant position is an integral part of the Campus Recreation Center. Under the supervision of the building supervisors as well as the Assistant Director and Coordinator of Facilities, facility assistants play a significant role in maintaining a safe and pleasant environment for our patrons.

Fitness Attendant

Fitness Attendants are assisting patrons in the fitness center, spotting members lifting weights, reporting broken/malfunctioning equipment and ensuring that the fitness center is clean and safe.

Group Fitness Instructor

Instructors provide outstanding group fitness classes to CRC patrons in various formats, including but not limited to, Yoga, Zumba®, Cycling, Interval Training, and more!

CRC only hires personal trainers and group fitness instructors who are certified by nationally recognized fitness organizations (ex. ACE, AFAA, ACSM).

Intramural Official

The intramural official provides a safe, fun and fair environment for teams to participate in intramural sports

Previous officiating experience is helpful, although not required as we provide training for all sports. The only qualification is being open to learning something new. Be warned…once you learn the art of officiating, you’ll never watch a sporting event the same again.

Intramural Scorekeeper

Intramural scorekeepers are responsible for recording accurate scores for assigned games and providing a safe, fun, and fair environment for teams to participate in intramural sports. Scorekeepers also assist with field/court set-up and tear down.

Leadership Challenge Course Facilitator

The Leadership Challenge Course Facilitator will equip and instruct participants in proper use of the Challenge Course Complex facilities, equipment and supplies, deliver content and skill-building sessions, and provide a safe environment for leadership development.

Lifeguard

The lifeguard provides a safe environment for participants to enjoy Georgia Tech’s aquatic facilities.

Lifeguard certification is required. Visit crc.gatech.edu/lifeguard-certification for class dates. 

 

 

 

Marketing Assistant

Marketing assistants will create content and assist with communications initiatives. The specific skills required may vary based on need, but include, graphic design, website development, photography, videography, public relations and outreach, social media management, and content writing.

 

 

Member Services Assistant

The Member Services Student Assistant is responsible for providing service excellence by assisting patrons purchasing memberships or registering for programs, and answering general questions about the department.

Personal Trainer

Personal Trainers provide outstanding service to CRC patrons enrolled in the personal training program. CRC only hires personal trainers who are certified by nationally recognized fitness organizations (ex. ACE, AFAA, ACSM).

Pool Technician

Pool Technicians ensure the cleanliness of all aquatic areas by completes daily maintenance duties, performs scheduled maintenance, inspecting the facilities and performing cleaning duties as necessary.

 

Special Operations

Special Operations staff perform preventative maintenance in and around the facilities, assist with renovations and remodeling of the building, operate power equipment, and perform a wide variety of general and semi-skilled maintenance activities.

The Student Business Assistant reconciles daily sales transactions, creates and reviews financial reports, and prepares remittances for deposit.

Summer Camp Supervisor

The Camp Supervisor is responsible for supervising camp participants, ages 6-14, leading activities (art and crafts, physical activities, etc.), working as a team, with other Camp Supervisors and Camp Managers, to creatively encourage participation in all activities. Establish the first line of positive feedback and discipline practices, and field trip supervision.

Swim Instructor

The Swim Instructor provides swimming instruction to youth and adult participants and keeps the parents and/or participant informed of their progress.

 

 

 

 

 

Wilderness Outpost

Wilderness Outpost Staff are responsible for the CRC's camping equipment rental fleet.  This includes helping customers choose the right gear, offering information and answering questions, and teaching them how to set up and use the gear.  Outpost staff also register customers for ORGT Adventure Sport classes/trips.  Outpost staff are responsible for the maintenance of the department including keeping the gear and equipment clean and organized.
