Climbing Wall
The indoor rock wall on the first floor of the CRC, next to the Fitness Center, is a must see! If you are new to rock climbing, visit during our "free climb" hours and our climbing wall attendants will belay you at no charge. They can also give you climbing tips and our bouldering orientation during these hours. Groups can also reserve the climbing wall, when space is available.
  • 2,000 sq. ft. of climbing space
  • 35 ft. rock wall under a 100 ft. ceiling
  • Top ropes, boulder problems, and lead routes
  • Orientation & lead climbing classes available through ORGT
  • Gear rental available for shoes, harnesses, and belay devices.

Wilderness Outpost

One of the premiere outdoor recreation programs in the country, The Outdoor Recreation Georgia Tech Program (ORGT) rents equipment for outdoor recreation through the Wilderness Outpost. Located in the rear of the CRC and next to the parking deck, members can find very reasonable rentals on outdoor recreation equipment as well as instructional programs and classes in kayaking, rafting, backpacking, canoeing, mountain biking, climbing and caving.
