ABOUT THE G.I.T FIT PROGRAM

The G.I.T. FIT Program (Georgia Institute of Technology Fitness Program) offers an opportunity to learn life-long skills, increase fitness levels, and just have fun! We offer over 80 non-credit classes spanning from martial arts to golf to personal training and much more. Our mission is to provide the Georgia Tech community with opportunities to begin or continue a healthy lifestyle that will last well into the future.

You can sign up for G.I.T. FIT classes at the Member Services desk at the CRC. You must be a member of the CRC to participate in these courses (excluding certain lifeguard and CPR classes). See registration and payment for more information. In addition to classes, G.I.T. FIT also provides personal training, massage therapy, the 10,000 steps program, as well as seminars and special events throughout the year focused on health education and wellness.

 

TOP G.I.T. FIT CLASSES TO TRY THIS SEMESTER

Group Fitness Classes
Our aerobic program offers over 30 classes a week. All of our aerobic classes are non-credit and focus on conditioning, strengthening and toning the body through various degrees on intensity. Classes include indoor cycling, step, power yoga, and much more.

Boxing for Beginners
Box with Amateur boxer and kick boxer, Natalie Hall and learn about the basic four punches, proper footwork, punch combinations, and overall technique. The class offers a real workout through "bag work" and rounds. This class will include a warm up, specific instructions, bag work, a cool down and abdominal exercises. Partner work will also be involved.

Golf for Business and Life
Offered only to juniors, seniors, and graduate students, this class has been funded by a grant from the PGA and David Duval. Each participant will receive over $300.00 in instruction as well as a tee bag containing a towel, sleeve of balls, rulebook and more.
