International Spring Break Scuba Trip

The mission of the Georgia Tech Campus Recreation SCUBA program, in partnership with Georgia Tech Professional Education and the Division of Student Life is to educate and inspire environmental and multicultural awareness through our training and certification program.

How to register:

  1. Visit mycrc.gatech.edu
  2. Select 'memberships' and then the 2017 CRC International Scuba Trip membership
  3. Add the selection to your cart
  4. You will be directed to a series of questions, which enables you to select all the program options available for the scuba trip
  5. Add any extras you would like to purchase such as equipment rentals
  6. Pay deposit or all costs upon initial registration
  7. Pay all fees by Feb. 28, 2017; partial payments can be made through the scuba trip section of programs on mycrc.gatech.edu

Cost

Payments:

Jan. 31, 2017: $500 per person deposit due
Feb. 28, 2017: Remaining balance due

Diver Package

» $1,350: Georgia Tech Students - excluding roundtrip airfare to Cozumel

» $1,450: Non-Georgia Tech Students - excluding rountrip airfaire to Cozumel

Non-Diver Package

» $900: Georgia Tech Students - excluding roundtrip airfare to Cozumel

» $1,000: Non-Georgia Tech Students - excluding rountrip airfaire to Cozumel

Certification Fee

» $125: Georgia Tech Instructor(s) will be on the trip - fee includes checkout dives, and certification paperwork for those needing to complete their Scuba 1 or Scuba 2/Advanced open water checkout dives for certification.

Equipment Rental (if needed)

» $75: Individuals not in the training program wanting to rent gear for the trip. Based on equipment availability, and not prorated per item.

*Participants in the Georgia Tech training program can checkout equipment at no additional charge - do not pay for equipment if you're getting certified.

Cost Includes: 

» 5 night’s double occupancy accommodations, four days of 2-tank boat dives, plus one 1-tank afternoon boat dive and one 1-tank night dive as scheduled (and weather permitting), unlimited shore diving, rountrip transportation from Cozumel airport to hotel.

*Airfare  to  Cancun/Cozumel not included.  Also, the fee for certification checkout dives, additional dives and the cenote dive beyond what is already scheduled, nitrox, marine fee, roundtrip transportation fee from Cancun, and optional island activities are in addition to the package price listed above.

» $50: Additional 1-tank afternoon boat dive
» $85: Additional 2-tank afternoon boat dive
» $164: Two-tank cenote dive (includes rountrip transportation – this is in place of a morning two-tank boat dive)
» $75: Roundtrip transportation from Cancun to hotel (bus/ferry/taxi)

Nitrox: 

» $9/tank – to be paid on site

Marine Fee: 

» $2.50/diver/day - to be paid on site

Meals: 

» All-inclusive food and drink

Insurance

Insurance: 

» DAN Insurance required for all divers; proof of insurance required prior to departure.

Trip Insurance: 

» DAN or DiveAssure highly encouraged, but not required. No refunds available after 12/31/16.
