Lifeguard Certification

Do you want to work at one of the premier aquatic facilities in the nation? You can do that! Lifeguard certification courses are offered each semester to those interested in working on the aquatics team. Ellis and Associates, Inc. (E&A) Lifeguard license required for employment. In addition to lifeguard training, this course includes CPR and First Aid.

Class Prerequisites

  • Tested on first night of class
  • Swim continuous crawl or breaststroke – 500 meters
  • Feet first surface dive to 17 ft deep, retrieve 10 lb. brick, bring to surface
  • Tread water without using arms for five minutes (without arms)

May 18 - May 21:

  • May 18, 6 p.m. - 10 p.m.
  • May 19, 6 p.m. - 10 p.m.
  • May 20, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • May 21, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

June 22 - June 25:

  • June 22, 6 p.m. - 10 p.m.
  • June 23, 6 p.m. - 10 p.m.
  • June 24, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • June 25, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Please Note: Must attend all course dates

Important Class Information

  • Meet in room 134
  • Book will be handed out first day of class
  • Bring a pen and/or pencil each day
  • Bring a swim suit and towel each day
  • You will be very active while learning skills in the water, so wear an appropriate swim suit

Cost: $105 including book and licensing fee
