The GIT FIT Program (Georgia Institute of Technology Fitness Program) offers an opportunity to learn life-long skills, increase fitness levels, and just have fun! We offer over 80 non-credit classes spanning from martial arts to golf to personal training and much more. Our mission is to provide the Georgia Tech community with opportunities to begin or continue a healthy lifestyle that will last well into the future. In addition to classes, GIT FIT also provides personal training, massage therapy, as well as seminars and special events throughout the year focused on health education and wellness.

The purpose of this program is to instruct beginning, intermediate, and advanced exercisers the proper techniques and habits in order to reach their desired fitness goals.

Group Fitness

All of our group fitness classes are non-credit and focus on conditioning, strengthening and toning the body through various degrees of intensity.

Part 1: Barriers to Beginning Your Fitness Journey

Do you want to improve your physical fitness but feel like life keeps getting in the way of starting or staying on track on your fitness journey?  Come learn about the obstacles we all face in starting or maintaining healthy lifestyles, and how to overcome them.  This lecture will give you tips and tools for succeeding and meeting your fitness goals.

After learning about how to overcome the barriers to starting or maintaining your fitness goals in our first clinic, come put it all into action!  Join us for an overview of the Fitness Floor and grow your comfort level in the gym setting.  You will learn how to safely and confidently use machines, and see that free weights and squat racks are not “scary” at all!
