Challenge yourself on a high-adventure freshman orientation trip of a lifetime!
Join 11 of your incoming Georgia Tech classmates this summer on a 14-day Alaskan Adventure that includes backpacking, sea kayaking, glacier ice climbing, deep sea fishing, and wildlife viewing in Denali National Park, all while camping under star-filled skies.
While immersed in the breathtaking scenery of the Alaskan back country, you will be physically and mentally challenged but rewarded with life skills you will apply to all of your future endeavors. This adventure will challenge you physically, mentally, and socially. Some of the proficiencies you will acquire are: self confidence, self-motivation, critical thinking, social and judgment skills, map and compass reading, expedition behavior, and Leave No Trace principles. This expedition to the Alaskan wilderness is lead by highly skilled, professional guides each with an average of over 10 years of experience in the field.
And, oh yeah, did we mention that you will be adventuring in Alaska, where you will build life long friendships!
