    Join 7 of your incoming Georgia Tech classmates this summer on a 10-day Alaskan Adventure that includes backpacking, glacier ice climbing, fishing, and wildlife viewing all while camping under star-filled skies.

    While immersed in the breathtaking scenery of the Alaskan back country, you will be physically and mentally challenged but rewarded with life skills you will apply to all of your future endeavors. This adventure will challenge you physically, mentally, and socially. Some of the proficiencies you will acquire are: self confidence, self-motivation, critical thinking, social and judgment skills, map and compass reading, expedition behavior, and Leave No Trace principles. This expedition to the Alaskan wilderness is lead by highly skilled, professional guides each with an average of over 10 years of experience in the field.

  • Who: Exclusive to only 8 incoming GT freshman. Sign up today.
    When: Arrive in Anchorage mid-afternoon on July 30, 2009. Leave Anchorage late evening on August 8,2009.
    Where: South Central Alaska
    Cost: $1,495, including all ground transportation, all activity and entry fees, professional guides, specialty equipment, camping, and most meals. You are required to make your own air travel arrangements. After you are accepted, we will require a $295 non-refundable deposit.
    Subsidies: Payment plans are available with 0% interest applied. The suggested repayment plan is $200 per month.

    Qualified participants are chosen based on their essay content and will be notified by email.

    We require all participants to have a medical form signed by a physician, attesting to the participant's ability to participate in this program. We will notify successful registrants of acceptance via email and will send them a Registration Packet. All paperwork in the packet must be fill out, signed, and returned to our office, accompanied by a deposit. The complete cancellation policy will accompany your confirmation email.
