Self Defense Seminar

Self Defense class with Troy

Join the CRC in a free self defense and personal safety seminar. The class will be lead by Troy Logan, Master Instructor.

Participants will learn self defense techniques through Krav Maga, a battle proven form of self-defense originally developed for the Isreali Military. It is based on instinctual movements and natural reflexes giving students the ability to learn how to defend themselves effectively in a short amount of time. Students will learn:

  • Simple yet effective physical techniques to allow them to escape from violent encounters.
  • Both verbal and body language techniques that are very useful in handling uncomfortable situations.
  • De-escalation strategies will also be taught to help reduce the risk of a violent episode.
  • Protection for themselves in realistic situations, against an assailant (instructor) with the use of kick pads and shields.

When: August 26, 2017 from 12 p.m. - 1 p.m.

Where: CRC Studio C

Cost: Free

There is no advanced registration necessary. Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis for the first 75 people.
