The Personal Training Program is designed for healthy individuals of the Georgia Tech's campus community/affiliates (i.e. student, faculty, staff, family members, or outside affiliates). The personal Training Program is not designed for pre or post-natal women, individuals on medication or under the direct care of a physician, or individuals with psychological injury. Individuals with special needs should obtain specialized instructions from their attending physician prior to participation.

Personal Training

One-on-one session with a trainer to discuss and achieve fitness goals. Personal training is a good choice for any level of exerciser, from those who need motivation and guidance to start working out, to advanced exercisers looking to reach a specific goal.

Buddy Training

Pairs two people with one trainer. It allows for personal time with a trainer and the opportunity to train with a friend or partner. Some trainees use buddy training to train for events and to add a competitive edge to their workout.
*Available upon request.  Please ensure you and your body have coordinated availability that works for both of you, as both parties must be present at all sessions. 

InBody Scans

Quickly measure fat mass, muscle mass, and body water. Auto-calibrated, user-friendly, and non-invasive, testing is fast and easy—just stand on the device and hold the hand electrodes.  A scan takes approximately 5 minutes and your printed results including percent body fat, skeletal muscle mass, and BMR, plus total body water, visceral fat assessment, and other vital measurements.  Review your results with a knowledgeable CRC Fitness team member. 

Available Tuesday-Thursday from 8:00 - 8:45 am in the Personal Training office on the Fitness Floor of the CRC.  Register here.  A current CRC membership is required.

Level 1 Trainers in Training

Level 1 trainers in training are currently preparing for a nationally accredited personal training exam. They have either completed the Applied Physiology course or have prior experience working in the CRC and are interested in pursuing a training certification.
A one hour session with a Level 1 Trainer in Training includes an InBody scan with full review of your printed results, equipment orientation of the CRC Fitness Floor, and assistance with setting S.M.A.R.T. fitness goals.

Level 2 personal trainers have obtained at least one training certification through a nationally accredited organization.

Take your fitness goals to the next level with accountability from a small group under the guidance of a professional personal trainer.  

Lifting 101 Workshops

This course is designed for beginner or intermediate lifters who would like to focus on learning or improving their weightlifting technique. 

Class days/times:

Lifting 101: Push – Monday, January 22, 6:00-7:00 PM
Join us for a dynamic push workshop that focuses on strengthening your upper body. We'll demonstrate key exercises like bench press, overhead press, and push-ups to build chest, shoulders, and triceps. You'll get hands-on experience with proper form and technique. Afterward, we'll dive into a mini workout to put your new skills to the test. Learn how to design an effective push routine and discover the benefits of upper body strength.

Lifting 101: Legs – Monday, February 19, 6:00-7:00 PM
Get ready to power up your lower body. We'll guide you through essential leg exercises like squats, lunges, and deadlifts, emphasizing technique and safety. After the demo, we'll lead you in a mini leg workout to experience the burn firsthand. Discover the importance of strong legs in everyday life and athletics, and gain insights into creating a well-rounded leg routine.

Lifting 101: Pull – Monday, March 25, 6:00-7:00 PM
Join us for a pull workshop, where we'll target your back and biceps. We'll demonstrate exercises such as pull-ups rows, and curls while focusing on perfecting your form. After the demo, participate in a mini workout to challenge your new skills. Learn about the importance of a balanced upper body, and how to integrate pulling movements into your fitness routine.

Thrive 101

This semester-long master fitness program will encompass exercise, nutrition and well-being to help you finally reach your fitness goals.  Classes will meet twice weekly while encouraging independent weekend workouts.  Learn to complete workouts specific to your level of fitness, while  adding tools to make you successful on this journey.  Take this semester to finally accomplish your goals be it strength gains, weight loss or increasing your overall health.  Led by Level 3 personal trainers. 

Class Times/Days:

Section 1 with Saidah: Mondays and Wednesdays 12-1pm, starts on Monday, January 29
Section 2 with Michael: Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:45-6:45 am, starts on Tuesday, January 30

Location: Studio B

Cost: $350 for the semester!  This great value includes meeting with a trainer twice a week, a pre and post class InBody scan, and a FREE drop in group fitness pass giving you access to 30 classes a week!
